DOG FOULING PROBLEM   ()

Dog Fouling has become a problem because some dog owners are just using the local roads during the bad weather, and making no attempt to clear up.

Additional signs have been put up in Russell Road, which is the worst area, and the question of an additional bin will be considered. The Dog Warden and the PCSO have been made aware of the problem and on the spot fines can be levied on offenders. The Parish Council wish this outbreak of dog fouling to be discontinued, and encourage local residents to report  anyone involved in this anti-social behaviour so that action can be taken.

Residents are also reminded that Dog Fouling is not permitted on local footpaths and The Moor, and this behaviour is spoiling the enjoyment of other walkers. Shorwell was voted the Best Kept Village in 2013, and local residents should respect the area they are lucky enough to live in.
